Good to hear. For the last 3-4 years I've been "browsing" JD (it was the first and only anime that I put in my bookmark toolbar {right beside wikipedia, facebook, and youtube}) and I never really noticed much change.

Geez i come here after a few days away from this thread and the same thing is going on. It got derailed into choosing the most ridiculous name thread. Sure there were a few good points but mostly it is people coming up with the wackiest names imaginable. Well they probably need a few names when they try buying the new domain. A lot of domain names have already been taken. hehe.

That is how I will forever remember this thread. I think the image was posted on the original JustDubs community forum in a thread that was derailed, just as badly as this one seems to be going.

On a more serious note, I agree with the earlier statements of no titles with "Anime" and/or "Dub" (or it's variations).
I really liked the EnglishOtaku.eu suggestion. At least that one sounded like a serious suggestion to me and it helps us redefine ourselves as a new site instead of a copy-cat site.

Ok, I kinda like the NoSubs idea, but...
Remember, someone on page one of this topic said it might be wise to avoid using anything that sounds even remotely like streaming (I'm too much of a noob to quote from a different page, sorry)

It would have to be hosted outside of the US, so the US government can't assume control.
I'd think .se would be best, hell, they basically just hand those things out.

now, assuming we decide that hosting it with an anime/streaming type name, here are suggestions.

If you don't mind having a Bahamas website, NoSu.bs is available (so is Justdu.bs) however, Though I know they are available, I don't know if they allow outsiders to register their domain names, so we might need someone who lives in the Bahamas to get either of those.

Switzerland might let you get away with a domain name, something like SoMu.ch/anime

the country code for Montenegro is .me, do with that what you will.

Though, I cannot solve this problem, I can inform you my recommendations and thoughts, which I have.

EDIT:
maybe include something about Troy, like TroyAni.me, considering, Troy was the city rebuilt on its own ruins. (hopefully justdubs doesn't have to be rebuilt 6 times though)

What we really need, is to go into the deep web. heck, we'd be better off as just an IP address and no domain name, that way the site could still be called justdubs, however, no webcrawlers would find us. (and hence, no DMCA).

however, then there lies the problems of not being able to have anyone link to us, and... publicity... only the people on this forum would ever find us.
no webcrawlers = no people.
(if we can overcome those obstacles, I'd say the deep web would be a great place)

You seem to misunderstand. JustDubs got traffic, AND was viable, if you delve into the deep web, you can no longer consider yourself viable in any way shape or form.
I'm saying get traffic, not be viable.

eh, if that's how you want to look at it, then ok, it would be a question of viability, however, I was using a different definition, considering the way the deep web works.
