JustDubs Successor Name?

Well, I'm trying to be serious. The main problem I see is that most anime sites have "dub" or "anime" or "watch" in their names so it is hard to think up a name where that isn't the case.

Maybe: JustAnim.eu or JustDreamAnim.eu

Yeah they can't legally touch us right now since we are now just a chat forum that talks about anime.

As for the name I really can't think of anything I like. I mean JustDubs was a great name how do you beat that? The only think I can think of is some kind of acronym but I can't think of one that works.

Not only that they can't touch us now, but I believe they would of lost any interest in trying by now anyways. They probably packed their bags about us and immediately jumped onto trying to get another site.

My suggestion is use .me and as others have pointed out already. Stay away from org,com &net the US has a sort of Super Jurisdiction over them.

PS on the subject of names, you could use something like Dubs4.me Just as an idea. And if you're trying to stay away from Dubs, anime and watch in the address you could use an acronym, something like TAR.me The Anime Refuge.

So here is my kicker when it comes to making a new name for ourselves, are we going to just stick with the same thing as we did before or are we going to evolve into something more? I mean this is the perfect time to implement new ideas to kick this place into over drive. Give it a fresh new look and a fresh new idea behind who we are and what we stand for. This would be the perfect time to put in manga and such into the site. So thees are the things we need to ask ourselves, are we strictly staying dubs this time around? are we going to add more stuff to the site, aka manga, music , games and such. this is were we will find out our name. Pushing beyond the norm is what makes sites more interesting, put a more broad spectrum on people that would want to make there way here.


so with that stuff in mind, i would not conclude a new title until we know what we are going to get into.

No we need to stay with dubs. There are plenty of sites for subbed anime and dub only sites are rare. Plus it will be hard to get back up to speed if we start including a bunch of other stuff.

I agree with staying with dubs but it would be interesting if there was more functionality and features added

You couldn't be more wrong. JD never had new features added because noey was lazy. That's all there was to it. He would let us debate new rank titles and not even get around to implementing them. We'd debate new features, but they would never be added. His motto was, "If its not absolutely needed for the site, why add it?" Trust me when I say this new site will be a lot better in terms of content management, layout and functionality.
