Also By law Kami still belongs to Noey and by law if Noey doesn't claim ownership of said art/ avatar anymore then by default ownership digresses back to the original creator of said work.

I would be most interested to hear the original artists thoughts on the matter.

Further more, Gishi just had a look at this "copy cats" HTML and... OMG what the H3LL!!!

It is the sorriest excuse for an anime website I and Gishi have ever seen. The site is not very dynamic and is basically just pooled into WordPress or a cheap CMS like that, so the dynamics and universal use of the CMS is limited to just what that CMS can do.

The smart thing to do is to create a CMS from scratch that you have total control over and is better for an anime site, instead of slapping a bunch of I-frames on a page which you have no control over if adds are put on or not.

I-frame are a nono for anime sites.

So I did some research on this duplication theme i found some very interesting things. For one its not a perfect duplicate, a perfect duplicate is nearly impossible. Also on the duplicates stylesheet *EDIT NO LINKS OOPS* it lists the author "Author: FinalHeartsMix
Author URI: *EDIT NO LINKS OOPS*" and at the botom of the site there is a hidden comment " Theme Recode/Duplication By FinalHeartsMix *EDIT NO LINKS OOPS*". Yeah this is of no help >.> Crying or Very sad

But if we start going out of our way to take them down what if they try to do the same on the new site? If we can get Kaizeru to take Kami away from them then they can keep that worthless old skin. We certainly don't need it.

I don't fully know what's going on here aside from a copycat JD and people saying report them but best leave them be. Maybe have a mod get in touch with Noey so he can report them and leave us outta this but otherwise just leave them be. They'll get taken down sooner or later and as some are saying if we report them then we risk losing this place and or our new home so again, best leave it be.

the only reason they will stay up for any length of time is because it will take a while for the site host to be tracked down and sued.

We shouldn't it's not like we are doing anything. On the other hand JD.tv is even worse than we were. They are hosting the videos themselves which makes it harder to dodge DMCA demands because you can't use the claim "We don't own or host the videos" to try to get away with it.

The admin of the fake site is a person from my past life. He is a troll. He is enjoying every second of this lil battle between our sites. We all know he is in the wrong cannibalizing off our misfortune, but you are never going to convince him of that. I have messaged Noey about the use of Kami. If he wants to pursue any legal actions against the site, that is his perogative, not ours. Please take the moral high ground and leave it be.

Exactly. It will only cause unneeded trouble for the community to attack him. We are better than that. We can move on to new and better things. We may have loved JD but it is in the past so let him leach off a sinking ship like a barnacle. If we can at least save Kami that would be nice though.
