Vote for only TWO anime
The Anime Cafe Voting Thread #2
Rules are simple, you will vote for only TWO series. There will be no changes in your vote.
Boogiepop Phantom
Black Lagoon
UN-GO
Angel Cop
Guilty Crown
Boogiepop Phantom
- Spoiler:
Genres: Dementia, Mystery, Drama, Horror, Supernatural, Psychological
Five years ago, a string of grisly murders shook the city to its core and now the rumors have begun once more. Boogiepop... Everyone knows about Boogiepop: meet her one dark night and you are taken. People tell each other the stories and laugh: no one believes that she can possibly exist in this day and age. Still, strange things appear to be going on and the darkness is taking on many forms. Something is out there. Are you safe?
Black Lagoon
- Spoiler:
Genres: Action, Seinen
Okajima Rokuro is a Japanese businessman in a town full of Japanese businessmen. His normal day consists of social drinking with clients and being kicked around by his bosses. He finally gets a break though, as he's sent by his company to the tropical seas of Eastern China to deliver a disc. But his boat gets hijacked by a band of mercenaries hired to retrieve the disc. Rock (as he is newly dubbed by his captors) catches the interest of the only female merc Revy as she thinks he's worth a ransom, taking him hostage. However, the disc that was stolen has a terrible secret that's unknown to Rock, which causes massive confusion and chaos for both him and his kidnappers.
UN-GO
- Spoiler:
Genres: Mystery, Supernatural
He pursues his job as the "Last Great Detective". Others call him the "Defeated Detective". What's certain is that he's Shinjurou Yuuki, a young man with a passion for mysteries and a talent for solving them that has made him the target of dark forces now stirring within the sinister underworld of a near future Tokyo. That could prove lethal, given that not even the other "good guys", including the police, are exactly on Shinjouro's side. Fortunately Yuuki's not completely on his own, and with the aid of his uniquely talented associate Inga, he's ready to cut a swath through the veils of secrecy that have been laid before him. Get ready for mind against matter and a lot of cloak and dagger as the ultimate battle of clue and deduction begins in UN-GO!
Angel Cop
- Spoiler:
Genres: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
Sometime in the future, terrorism in Japan has become commonplace, and the police have become almost as brutal as criminals. One cop, known as Angel, is the best of the best, stopping at nothing in her fight for justice. Things get interesting for Angel Cop and her new partner when they begin investigating a series of murders in which the victims are other criminals, killed in very unpleasant ways. These criminals, a group of psychics that banded together to hunt down the lowest scum in the city, and bring them to justice. After a couple of encounters between the cops and the psychics, two of the psychics begin to think that maybe they're not the good guys after all, but the third prefers killing to morality. Augmented by cybernetics from a mysterious source, he heads out on a killing spree, with Angel as his first target. Even with help from the other two psychics and her newly cyborged partner (after an unfortunate accident), Angel is going to have her work cut out trying to find the rogue psychic and the organization behind him.
Guilty Crown
- Spoiler:
Genres: Action, Drama, Sci-Fi, Super Power
The story takes place in Tokyo in 2039, after the outbreak of the "Apocalypse Virus" during what became known as the "Lost Christmas" of 2029. Since then, Japan has been under the control of the multinational organization called GHQ.
Ouma Shu is a 17 year-old boy who mistakenly obtains a rare and great power. He can use this power, "The Right Hand of the King," to extract "voids," or tools/weapons that are the manifestations of peoples' hearts.
He has been rather shy since a childhood tragedy, but both his personality and life change forever when he meets a girl named Yuzuriha Inori, a member of the rebel group called "Undertakers," whose members seek the restoration of self-government in Japan via the ousting of GHQ.

Re: The Anime Cafe Voting Thread #2
Holly crap, there are 4 series I haven't seen on this poll, that is the largest amount I've not seen on one of these in months.
Hmm tough decision, I've wanted to watch 3 of these 4 for a while now, but Angel Cop also sounds interesting [although I am a bit sceptical about watching the dubbed version considering when it was made]. Hmm, might have to wait to see how voting goes for a bit.

Re: The Anime Cafe Voting Thread #2
Well I have since made up my mind, and turns out I voted for the ones I was thinking about earlier. Now to see if Un-go wins, it'll be great motivation to make me watch it.
Anyway I'm curios as to who voted incorrectly as there are only 19 votes and this forum's style doesn't let us see who voted for what.

Hmmm seen 3/5...which one do I want to rewatch....xD
Black Lagoon, Guilty Crown, and Un-Go are all great. I'm pretty content as long as one wins.

As the newest member to this group I'm so glad I joined today. ^-^ Prob is there can only be 1 winner but luckily I get to vote twice. I believe I already know which ones I'm voting for but I'll wait a while to vote to see how things go.

Say, should't someone made the polls so that we could see who voted, like in the old forum. Cause I remember when the poll started there was someone that made an invalid vote on Angel Cop

Hey, don't start complaining because the [soon to be] winner is too '90s for you.

I don't want to revert back to the 90's! Listening to Matchbox 20 and using windows 98! I'LL NEVER GO BACK DAMNIT! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!

How? '80s and '90s anime is the best! The diamonds in the rough were prettier (see Cowboy Bebop) and the rough was rougher!
