New Release Club Magi discussion

This story is about the flow of fate and the battle to keep the world on the right path. Aladdin is a boy who has set out to explore the world after being trapped in a room for most of his life. His best friend is a flute with a djinn in it named Ugo. Soon enough, Aladdin discovers he is a Magi, a magician who chooses kings, and he was born to choose kings who will follow the righteous path, battling against those who want to destroy fate. Follow his adventures as he meets others from 1000 Arabian Nights, like Ali Baba and Sinbad, and fights to keep the balance of world in check!

My Opinion:

Well episode got delayed a week but DAMN WAS IT WORTH IT!!!! This is what I have been waiting for. I knew this would look awesome in anime form. Alibaba's sword looks great and Morgiana was beyond awesome fighting that monkey. SHE WAS KICKING OFF OF FOUR BUILDINGS! Then she kicked a freaking hole through a giant monkey! This is why she is one of my favorite characters ever!

Also the new opening was fun. But this probably means it's going to be a 24 episode season. Opening changes normally happen at the start of a new arc or the middle point of the series. Since this arc isn't close to finishing it is most likely the middle point of the anime.

I think it was worth it as well. I just love the fight scenes (Morgiana's especially). Also, I think Kassim's a total prick.

The latest episode was awesome, finally some info on what's happened to Ugo and Aladdin.

I can't wait for the next ep. I think Aladdin's going to learn some magic Not just manipulating magoi.

Yea, Things were just settling down, even if it was just for a few minutes, and then Kassim shows up and starts a riot. I don't like him.
There's also the weird weapons dealer. I wonder what that Black cloud of magoi he's making is for, If it's not for boosting the anger of the riot.

Them feels in that last episode.

Yeah, there was definitely some feels there, in that episode. And at the end were it shows Sinbad's power. Holy cow! that was awesome!

I dont think since Clannad have I seen an episode where it was so awesome, so depressing yet supremely uplifting all in one.

Magi, is a badass anime. I love it!

Yes but that just shows that not everything about him has changed. he has matured, grown stronger, and learned so much about himself and the world but Aladdin is still Aladdin. Plus Ecchi humor is good for breaking up a serious mood.

I thought this was a pretty weird ep. Last eps of the previous arc were really boring to me, then ep 17 was really good and now this ep was weird. I enjoyed it but it felt just weird. I wanna see more of that swordsman though

Also, I like it how they dont emphasize ecchi, since the only real ecchi was during Aladdin's motor boats, and that female genie with the rings on her nips. So seem less how that was put in, hahaha. Also, I had another feeling after watching this episode. It feels like Sinbad was giving off a bad guy vibe, but hey, that is just me. It does feel like it though.

Yeah MorXAlibaba gets hinted at for a while but never stated to the point that you can be sure it will happen. At least not to the point the manga is at.

also you aren't completely wrong. I won't spoil it but Sinbad has more behind his actions than you would think and those things are not in everyone's best interests. He isn't a villain yet as far as the manga has gone but I could easily see him becoming one in a few different senario.

Maybe it will be split into few seasons.

It was to me. Because Aladin is way too young to be in a relationship (or even want to). So the most obvious would be Alibaba and Morgiana.

I didn't really get a "bad-guy" vibe, it was more of a ulterior-motive vibe. But that doesn't necessarily mean he's a bad dude. Just look at his kingdom. It's so peaceful (Well, not really with the sea-monsters, but you know what I mean) and happy.

Sure his kingdom is happy but remember his ulterior motives don't have to be purely for him. I could see him destroying another country or simply letting one burn to the ground if it suited his goals. So sure if he is your king he is a hero but that doesn't mean he isn't capable of doing terrible crimes to anyone else. I'm not saying he definitely will but I could see him becoming an antagonist to Aladdin if the time came that Sinbad's actions were destructive to the Balance of the world for the sake of purely his own kingdom.

Watched the recent episode last night. I like how they refined Morg's appearance for the festival. My jaw dropped kind like Alibaba's did.

Yeah it makes me want to bring Jamil back to life just so that I can tell him "There is no one less worthy of being king than you" just like Aladdin did then kill him again.
