That April fool's thread messed with my head. Everything was out of place.

I thought it was hilarious for the first like 5 minutes. The brightness of the colors was really getting to me, though.

It didn't help that it was a very hot day in Florida and the trolls everywhere (with the rick roll and men in tights clashing, and I think it was Desufire's sig that went on forever), but it all gave me a bad headache and I had to avoid the site after that.

All in all, I think it was pretty good fun. It would have been better if I was in better spirits at the time. But I guess that's just successful trolling, no?

I wanna know what everyone thought of the April Fools things we did. Inb4 they did this on the old site. I wanna heard from the people that weren't around for that. As well as any other input on the variety of other things we did to celebrate. We did the pink template, switched the sections around and mixed them up, added broken image icons to make navigation more difficult, added the "Mod Tools" button in the navibar, embedded rick roll and switched around avatars and rank images. I also made that fake noey post so nobody get too excited about that one. (Yes, some people actually PM'd me thinking it was real)

Also, I'm still in the process of clearing out the rank images if you were chosen as one of the people we switched avatars on. As for the avatars, you guys will have to change them back by yourselves. If you see anything else about the site still doing weird stuff let us know.

I haven't been around Jd long enough to have been apart of the last time, but this was definitely shocked me. It was a total wtf moment for me when I opened the site up and everything was pink and it said "JustHentai". Though it only lasted for like five minutes, because I remembered someone saying something about this on the old site. I didn't notice the mod tools button though.

And whenever I opened up a new tab in chrome, it looks like I've been visiting a porn site, because of the pink and the ecchi banner.

The only thing that was funny was the mod tool button ;D

Rick roll however brought bad memories On a forum from a game i used to play i was always trolled by that and i always fell for it.

I never got the rick roll, but every time I opened a thread, the men in tights song popped up.

My apologies, it was a very good prank. It took me quite a while to figure out that the song came from the sig.

I was on the forum a bit before 11PM CDT and I guess I was one of the few people to get to see this:

The only thing I fell for was the fake broken images. I didn't mind the pink theme at all, despite me hating the bright pink color. I didn't notice the fake Mod Tools button, other than I did see the icon. I just wasn't curious enough.

I did notice the embedded SWF file for the Men in Tights song and had to mute my computer cause it was too loud (my volume level was on 65% because most of the flash video players were very weak on audio). Course, when I turned my volume down and turned the sound back on, I started singing along with the Men in Tights, so the trolling attempt failed on me?

I was completely accepting of the JustHentai idea, though I didn't have any real hopes of it actually happening. I would have accepted it either way. Oh and I didn't notice the My Little Pony stunt until about 3 minutes before the forum went down for the cleanup. That's when I changed my avatar back to what it was right before the forum went down. lol

Actual Response: Pink aside,
-The JustHentai joke was amusing.
-The Comic Sans is really only troll to 4chan browsers so I think that one went over most people's heads, and others (like myself) actually like Comic Sans.
-The switching the forum headings around was my idea so of course it was the best part.
-The ponies avatars were funny, not really troll though (I guess cuz I don't really care about ponies one way or the other). Side Note: The changing of the avatars kind of ruined the april fools avatars for the Weekly Avatar Themes thread.
-The Rick Roll was funny and clever.
-Noey account might have been a bit too far. Just my opinion though.
-The rest I didn't really notice.

Overall: Pretty successful. I'm curious if you talked things over with other staff members about what to do though.

i loved the fact the site was pink. the ponies were kinda funny to see all over the place, as well as hearing the men in tights theme song, nothing like clicking on the 1st page of the all girls thread and hearing
"were me, were men in tight"
lmao, i didnt have a hard time finding what i needed in the forum. but overall i think it was fun and reading some of the reactions on skype was kinda funny. overall great april fools prank guys

^ I completely agree except when my Avi was also changed to a Pony not once but twice. *Thought I didn't notice that when it happened did you* I was not a fan of Karma's sig though. -_- I thank the people responsible for removing his sig for me. That aside it was a fantastically great April Fools day as well as the AFD jokes. :) I also had no trouble navigating through the site till they switched where all the threads were located and didn't know if they went the extra mile to rename threads and so on. (Good thing I use the new posts since last visit button so not that big of a deal for me) Any other comments I had on it were said in another thread yesterday when this was all going on. Oh and, seriously the Pink was AWESOME! You don't come across too many sites online that are Pink you know and it didn't bother my eyes at all. Also liked the text's new design. I'm really going to miss that site layout but I admit I would also want this site layout, well the original JD site layout actually with just a few minimum changes. Anyway great job on yesterday's events. :)

I enjoyed almost everything about it, the pink didn't bother me and I liked the fluent curvature of the font. Fake Noey was a nice touch and I kind of want to know the users that messaged you thinking it was legit, and who cares if that confused the "guests" it could have caused them to sign up and stop lurking.
Screwing with thread placement wasn't too bad as I was simply looking for the threads I post in anyway.

What annoyed me was the embedded songs, you were posting multiple times on a single page, so it would start playing the songs multiple times for me. It is kind of hard to enjoy a song when it is playing 3 times in a round type style, or when Never gonna give you up is playing over men in tights or vice versa. Also I have to say I think it was demoneyesjoe's sig basically became a page breaker for me for no apparent reason other than the embedded song. Kind of makes it hard when you have to scroll for so long to see content not always worth seeing.
