Toriko anime discussion

Since there are 4 people on this forum who i know are watching Toriko, i decided to make a thread for it so we can discuss it properly.

I think right now we are in 1 of the most fun arcs in the anime. Although Livebearer was a really annoying person. This arc should soon come to a close though. I cant wait untill they are ready to go to the gourmet world!

Is this anime good? I heard that it's similar to One Piece.

It was promoted by One Piece when it first started by doing a crossover with One Piece. By now they have 2 and soon there will be a One Piece x Toriko x Dragon Ball.

On the parts that made One Piece so big its not similiar, but i sometimes do get that same feeling when i watch Toriko.

Strangely enough when One Piece doesnt get released, Toriko also doesnt get released.

Thats the things i can think of thats similiar to One Piece.


I do recommend Toriko though. Its refreshing and fun to watch, the fights are good, the characters are very likeable (except for a few). The plot is about food, which is a big turn off for alot of people, but if you dont let that bother you its a very enjoyable anime.

They are related, but story wise they are totally different anime's. Worth watching

Didnt like this ep. But the ending was promising.

And Toriko should just stick with his orange outfit. This looked horrible on him.

Yeah, it was quite disappointing. Well it's a build up...hopefully.

If you listen to the last part of the ep, its definitely a build up for something good.

100th episode was awesomely done. I like how much effort they put into this and the episode was great!

Komatsu same age as Toriko?!?!?!?!? WTF -.- And I was still having hope that when he grows up, he won't so useless/powerless/weakling...

I don't like the new op, I was so use to the old that now I judge it for changing it, unlike other shows I'm constantly questioning when their ops are going to change.

About the new ep, yay an island full of drunk creatures and they forgot what their goal was originally, and a horribly smelly ingredient that kills all plant life in 100km yet it is apparently edible. I wouldn't want to risk it though since it took that long for for them to capture it.

@Ovyda, I saw that they were the same age on their bio on MAL, I was still curious since they never did flat out say their ages. But yeah Toriko and Komatsu are the same age so he is just a weakling and there is nothing else for him to do except for work out I'd imagine.

I would definitely say no to such request

@SK, I wonder how did Setsuno become so strong... could it be that after eating a lot of high quality food + walking in the Gourmet World you get stronger somehow? Or it's just Komatsu forever and ever a weakling

Komatsu's only use is cooking.
