Bad movie was bad. I'll type up some more about it later. But like always people who are not a part of the activity can feel free to discuss as well.

Yes I won't lie. The movie was bad up until near the end but that's because it focused on like the first half of the anime instead of all of it. We didn't get to see Asuka and by that time the show picks up and things make more sense where as with the first one, well. It could have been better.

Also my other thoughts on it. Lilith, oh come on it's called Adam in the TV show. Btw I said in skype the movie was good but only cuss I know the rest of what happens in the TV show but if left like that then it is bad. Thankfully there's more and I was told the 2-4 movies focus on a different story. So hopefully it's good or better than the TV show.

@Ovyda for the record I said it is a good anime and like I said it got much better when Asuka came onto the scene. Shinji starts to be less of a cry baby and more open etc. at that point too. Please don't believe the anime is this bad because it's not. Sadly the 1st movie just didn't tell the other half which makes it even better. Still sorry it wasn't better. Like I said I'd yet to see the movies and was just going off of what Maddy said along with the TV show.

@Maddy, I thought you said it was better than the TV show? The first movie imo was not and yes I was comparing it up to what it covered.

First of all, im not a mecha fan AT ALL. I drop most animes with these kinda fighting robots.

This movie was the worst anime movie i've ever seen though. Sorry for the people who like this anime, but it was just terrible imo. I didnt see a story in it, MC was a boring crybaby, i didnt really get attracted to any of the characters. A fridge full of beer being the highlight of a 1 and a half hour movie says enough. Im not interested in watching the other movies of this neither.

Since I kept having to watch the movie in disjointed parts to see most of it, it's difficult for me to rate it. The general impression I had throughout was that I had no idea what was going on and Shinji was annoying. On the plus side, we had Rei. The movie got a little better towards the end but not by a lot. But because I'm so merciful, I am still willing to give the second movie a shot.
