Hey what if a couple people got some free, cheap domains and made a bunch of cheap copies of JD. Not only would it mess with that other sites traffic but it might even keep copyright hunters a little distracted. But even if the latter isn't very likely it will still troll the other site a little.

Yeah I know I was mostly joking. Does seem like it might be kinda fun just to mess with them a little. But honestly it seems like too much work and like you said counter productive. But a lot of things are like that.

You're free to advertise this site as much as you want. But check with Red first if you plan on spamming it on our FB page because I don't think she wants it done there.

Stevey even gave us permission to tell people about the new site.

"You can however tell people that the old staff memebers are putting a new site together." That is all the info we're allowed to disclose about it though..

Ok this is driving me CRAZY! I clcked on the links to the fake JD to see what you all have been seeing and what does both my internet browsers do? Well IE says a problem with the connection while GC says Oops! Google Chrome could not find community.justdubs.fake. Btw I did typed in the full web address (Copied the link actually and even shortened it when that didn't work) and still got the same thing and when I do a search for it all it pulls up is the fake JD thread topics in THIS group. Yup it doesn't even show up in the search results. I tried this a while back and it did the same thing. For both my browsers to do this, just what is going on here? If anyone can help me then thank you.

I don't think the advertising of this place needs to be very... how should one as I put it, extreme. Most of the people with half a mind already realise this is the proper JD, and those that don't eventually will with minimized advertising. You could even go post a thread advertising this place on the 'fake' jd, since its quite the mess it might not even get noticed.

@ Meta, you answered your own question, except for the getting banned part. I expect to be lurking around just to make all of your logical life's miserable.

You'll get my opinions on topics that catch my eye, except my opinions are super biased and no heed will be paid because only one person on this sites gets this sense of logic/humour.

nah thats not the right link, just google justdubs and it should be the first link that shows up.

Well that certainly explains a LOT! Thanks I ound it. I'm surprised to see how similer to the real JD it is. The only thing that looks different is the forum and the web's name in the link. No wonder people were fooled so easily.

I received a PM from a mod there, once again, today. HeartOfDarkness or something. Guess he was on the old forum and was pleading that we collaborate with them. He's one of the people that was registered on the old forum for about a month, got tricked into going to the fake site and was randomly offered mod. In the PM he basically stated he knows they're doing wrong but we should still all try and work together.
