I know this was nominated a different week but not sure if it won. I know I watched it with a few others from here but I don't remember if it was on Saturday.Ovyda wrote:Spirited Away

Because no one seems to like Strike Witches.
MAL lists it as a summary of the series. We're not allowed to nominate series recaps anymore.
We only have 3 nominations. Natsuru says she withdraws her Eva 3 nomination if its not dubbed. (even though theres no rules against watching subbed movies). And Shakugan no Shana is not accepted as MAL lists it as a series summary.
Also. I'm nominating:

It was streamed on the Sunday back when we were watching 2 films a week.Ovyda wrote:Hikikomori wrote:I know this was nominated a different week but not sure if it won. I know I watched it with a few others from here but I don't remember if it was on Saturday.Ovyda wrote:Spirited Away

I think. I know that a bunch of us watched it anyway.

We've only done double movies twice. The recent one was when we did Conan Movie 2 and the first was when we did Ghost in the Shell. You can find a complete list of the movies we watched in the original thread.

I am sure Spirited Away wasn't showed and Spor would remember it anyway. On the other hand, I never knew about your sunday activity... I would have joined with Ghost in the Shell

Re: Anime Saturdays: Nominations
I didn't think there was but since I've seen the 1st 2 dubbed I'd like to see the other 2 dubbed as well. SO since I'm certain we'll get a dubbed Eva movie 3 within the next half year I can wait for the dubbed. (Unless something happens so that I HAVE to watch the subbed)Sporadic wrote:There's no rule against nominating a subbed movie.
That's actually not fair though Karma. Nor will it work. See say you wanted to watch a great movie right and you voted for it but one of the other movies won that you didn't care to see. Now you aren't going to show up for that you know. Also things come up, even last minute. There's no way to MAKE people who vote show up for the movie AND it's a known fact people have the option to watch it by themselves and then participate on the forum in the discussion chat for said movie. Heck the movie even loobs till next week's movie. It's not right to expect someone to HAVE to show up especially when they cannot make it. As for people who didn't vote, well, that's their choice to watch it you know and maybe they thought they wouldn't be able to watch it which is why they didn't vote and I could give you more scenarios but I won't. I've made my point.Valvatorez wrote:I like how unfair it is in which people who voted for the Eva movie, some of them didnt even show up to it. It's like being tea bagged. People should vote only if they know they will come aka, wait it out until the week is close to ending and see what your plans are. Plus, some people who did not even vote were in there, and just going along and watching it.
I feel so bad for them.....
Like Maddy said something came up last min and she could not pass it up. While some may not think a study session is that important and can be passed up that's just not true. If Maddy says she couldn't pass it up then she couldn't pass it up. As for me, I liked to not of made it in time myself. Just barely and even then Spor was kind enough to delay the movie for 5 mins which I'm thankful for. Otherwise I woulda been 5 mins behind, maybe even longer. Also I was in the chat, but for some reason as soon as the movie was over Spor decided to boot everyone out only mins after the movie ended. See I can't watch a movie and type at the same time, I'll miss stuff so I wait till the movie is over to chat. I was there and even chated a little and TRIED to continue the chat in Kiri's chat but no one wanted to talk about the movie, well Crazy did but he had to eat and I had to go by then. As for the different version, well I blame the site I watched it on for that. They had it listed as the 2.0 movie everywhere I looked but when I played it at the same time ya'll watched yours it said 2.22 so it was too late to watch anything but that one. (I'm glad I did watch it tough)Ovyda wrote:Sir Maddy wrote:Valvatorez wrote:I like how unfair it is in which people who voted for the Eva movie, some of them didnt even show up to it. I was going to watch.
But then my friend wanted to have a study session.
I couldn't pass that up.
Nevertheless, I will watch Evangelion 2.0 when I get the chance.
But the idea is not to get you to watch a movie, but to watch it together... now you gave such "AWESOME" movie and only Natsuru I think showed from the one's who voted and wished to see the movie. And yet Natsuru wasn't even in the chat, she/he watched even different version apparently.

Re: Anime Saturdays: Nominations
20 minutes after the movie ended:
[4/6/2013 5:17:23 PM] Sporadic: Alright. Ima kick everyone out of this chat till next week.
[4/6/2013 5:17:48 PM] Natsuru-san: Before you do that everyone take a look at what I just nominated.
5 minutes later I kicked everyone. You should have said something if you were still discussing it. Also, that's what the discussion thread is for.

Hem that's odd. Oh I see, the version ya'll watched musta ended sooner than mine did. I had just arrived when mine went to the credits. As for talking longer, it worked out better that I didn't.

Which is weird because usually the nominations are filled by Saturday evening.
Alright. I'll have the voting thread up shortly.

Re: Anime Saturdays: Nominations
Well, since I don't actually watch anime movies (except on anime Saturdays), I don't know if I'll be much help when nominating. The only two anime movies that I've seconded (The anime were nominated before I could) everyone hated.
But what about that Shakugan no Shana movie that was nominated once?

It can't be nominated because it's considered a recap or something like that.
