First Anime Movie

I'm not really sure for me. I think it may have been Princess Mononoke.

Baawww, I was hoping it was Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, but nope, I'm pretty sure I saw the Pokemon movie first if I'm reading these dates right. I did not much care for it personally.

Endless Waltz isn't a movie it's an OVA and which Pokemon movie? There's only like a million of them! = p

Endless Waltz was originally a multi-part OVA but was later combined into a theatrical movie version which was the version that got dubbed and aired in the US (and therefore the version that I saw). I was referring to the first Pokemon movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back.

I started at the deep end, my first anime movie was Akira. I was totally confused, all I could think at the end was "That bike is awesome!"

I first saw Blue Submarine No.6 as a "theatrical movie" but i still consider that an OVA as well. Just because you bundle it all into one feature length thingamajig that doesn't mean it's changed it's nature, the pacing remains the same, the way the story's been split up to fit an episodic format remains the same, the fact that right now i'm being extremely pedantic also remains the same... . -.-

You think that's bad, i know someone who's first anime choice was NGE and he's refused to watch anything anime related ever since!

Uhm, OK? >.> I don't know why you're trying to make an argument out of this. It was cut into a theatrical-length movie, it was labeled and sold as such, so I'm calling it a movie.
