My poor tired mind is going to go crazy...

I downloaded the new patch for rewrite, changed my locale to japan, installed it and attempted to run the game.

And nothing happens.

First. Uninstall everything, the game, the patch, everything. Then do this:

FIRST OF ALL, SET YOUR LOCALE TO JAPANESE LOCALE.

Download the torrent/individual parts and the english patch.

Extract everything from the torrent and put it on the desktop/in whatever folder you want.

Mount the first mds file titled something like, "Rewrite - Disc 1"

Once its mounted, click the "Run button" so that it runs the setup

The setup should all be in Japanese.

If you don't have DirectX, download that first, then download the game via the option with ”セットアップ” in the title. (That means Setup)

Choose whichever location you want.

In the middle of the download it will ask for a disc change, so mount the 2nd disc, DO NOT RUN, then click okay on your already installing game.

Click No if a box has this word in it, "ショトカット” or something very similar to it. That's asking if you want to make a shortcut, which you dont since your game isnt in english yet.

Once its finished run the english patch for Rewrite.

Choose the location that you chose and hit okay.

Once its done, run the application in the folder and it should be ready to play.

Make a shortcut of the Application if you want. That's what I did.

Future advice: When you're playing and there's a blue icon at the end of a line of text, you can phone/text someone. Incidentally that's how you avoid Suzuha, Faris, and Ruka's routes. By phoning the microwave o phone at the end of their chapters

So I got up to the part in Aoi Shiro where you find the girl in the ocean.

I'm intrigued in where this'll go.

what classifys as a bad route? i know in fate/stay night, a bad route = dead or someone important dies. there was also good, and true endings.

in shuffle, i cant think of any scenario where there would be a bad ending

also, my GF doesnt usually read VNs, but somewhere on the internet she found a harem VN but...all the girls are hanicaped? da facq?

Bad ending is where you fail to enter a route and the games ends (usually in an unfulfilling manner), or when you fail to overcome a conflict in a route and the games ends (Almost always in an unfulfilling manner)

So I got a bad end on Aoi Shiro.
That's what happens when I try to make the MC look badass. ;_;

EDIT: After getting 4 bad endings in a row, I gave up and went to Google for answers.
Turns out I need to complete every single route to get the happy ending.

I am not amused with this.
Although, I'm glad, kind of, because I'll get some hot vampire scenes.

I started on Fate/stay night and Prison Battleship months ago, but I'm a bit of a slow reader when it comes to this sort of thing, so I've yet to finish either.

Dengeki Stryker.
It is more superheroes than romance, but the girl you choose decides the story, so yeah.
There is also badass animation in it.

The animations weren't badass at all... :D

@Wampa
Never ever play VNs from Overdrive
If you like romance VNs like Katawa, I recommend these:

Ef - a fairy tale of the two (Only Romance; no routes, just multiple storylines)
G-senjou no maou
Hoshizora no memoria

It's only my opinion but I think they're not very well done. The story is nothing special and there're almost no romance.
