as topic says, any chance of just a regualr ol chatbox at the top of the forum home page?

The forumotion chatbox has the ability to set mods on it. I'll just set a couple for people I know that are on throughout different parts of the day. I'm not particularly in favor of enabling the chatbox. but if its what people want than its fine.

The problem is that all the mods we previously had tended to be awake during the same hours (daytime in North America).

Well, aside form giving all the regular staff mod on the chatbox I'll give it to a few forum regulars. Ones that are on all day and who I know are active. And it will be embedded on the forum so even regular forum members will be able to view and report content on it pretty easily.

Most chatboxes I run into have some kind of "off" button or something. They can get annoying but I do want to say that I approve of the idea anyway.
