Cooking Club: What Did You Have To Eat Today?
I figured a daily discussion on the meals we ate during the day would help spark more food related discussions. Even if you're not in the Cooking Club feel free to participate with us.
You don't have to actually post a picture of what you ate, but it is encouraged.
My standard once a week dinfast ( breakfast for dinner )
Biscuits with peppered country gravy. Cheesy eggs with bacon bits and a dash of garlic salt. Sliced fried potatoes with red and orange peppers, fresh garlic and onion. And apple wood smoked bacon.

I made a spinach garden salad, with grilled chicken. I didn't feel like eating anything heavy when I got in from work tonight.

Homemade apple sauce for breakfast. I know it's almost 2pm PST, don't judge me.

There's mystery foil in my freezer. I took it out when I woke up. About to see what's inside.

Slice, peel and core as many apples as you want. I usually do about 20. Then cut them into slices and put them into a stock pot. Fill in just enough water to barely cover the tops of the slices. Then bring the water to a boil and set to medium while it cooks. After an hour go in and the apples should have absorbed a lot of the water and become pretty soft. if they're kind of firm still put in like another half cup of water and let it cook for another 30 mins. Then smash the shit out of them inside the crock pot. There's this metal thing in my kitchen i use to do it. I have no idea what it's called maybe I should post a picture of it. After you smash them up I add 2 table spoons of cinnamon and 1 table spoon of brown sugar and mix it all in.
When its still warm I like to put some in a bowl with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream on top.

It might be fun to also do iron-chef competitions where we pick a specific ingredient and cook it any way we want. Take pictures and vote on which looks/sounds the yummiest!

Today I ate a piece of cake somebody forced me to try, and it sucked, but I told her it was delish because I'm a smooth motherfucker. I also ate a tube of Pringles while chilling at my desk.
Thats about it, I'm hungry as hell atm.
