With global warming the polar ice caps are slowly melting away. Every nation in the world has records dictating a great flood in the past, one that covered the entire Earth. When the waters receded they froze at the North and South Poles. Huge amounts of water are stored there. Where does the water go once it melts? That is the reason we been witnessing more and more horrific floods, Tsunamis, Hurricanes, and Storms in the last few years globally.

^ wrong
the amount of storm and stuff is actually not as bad as it was 1500 years ago
if anything it is more linked with the rise in sunspot activity but dont ask me how, it just always seems that weather gets crazy when the sunspots happen more often

Re: AUSTRALIAN WEATHER
i explained it on the previous page
basically the wind from the weather systems causes an incease in the wave size and that combinded with the incease in the amount of local water will cause water travel further than usual.
but these floods in australia are cause by the rain falling on mountains and flowing down increasing the size of existing rivers until they overflow and flood the towns around them. that and the water falling on the towns themselves obviously

Re: AUSTRALIAN WEATHER
hmm Does that explain the flood surge in Tokyo, the surge in New Hampshire, The surge in Boston Mass., Hurricane Katrina, or Hurricane Andrew. The list goes on with storms the raged this world in the last 20 years.
Sure there have been one or two great storms 1500 years ago and they were pretty earth shattering.
What I am describing is an increasing amount of storms in the last 30-20 yrs. To not see the increase and look for the reason is burying your head in the sand and thinking there is not danger when there is one.
Anyways I hope you and your family are safe and can recover from this crisis.

Re: AUSTRALIAN WEATHER
Sounds like there will be a lot of work in the future recovering from this. Is the government going to help out in any way?

Re: AUSTRALIAN WEATHER
probably but i doubt we will see any of it, the government has a way of hating people who own things.
besides if the government gave money to everyone effected it would run out of money and go into even more debt which would be worse for the whole country.
governments should never be in debt

Re: AUSTRALIAN WEATHER
I agree. For a prime example take a look at my government. It probably borrowed money from your government this year.

ah, yea, i read it, but it didnt really make much sence, i mean, the wind cant move an ocean, but yea, river flooding makes sense (obviously) and i guess oversized waves makes sense too (for oceanic flooding). also, another question....why doesnt rain....fall all at the same time? like a bucket of water turning upside down?
a google search gave me mixed answers, mostly saying temperature change is gradual and so rain is gradual, if you managed to make an entire cloud cool to w/e temperature, it would all fall at once....but, this boggles my mind becasue i leaned in school that the higher up you go, the colder it gets... someone pointed out that you need impurities to make the rain fall, otherwise the rain droplets wont becomes droplets at all, then, once one forms, it builds with other ones, and gets heavy enough to fall, and the process continues at a slow, yet rapid pace.
