They are fancy. But I wonder how we'll know when we get a PM. I guess I'll find out... eventually.

The navi bar now has icons instead of being a jumbled mess of words. They should all be self explanatory. New Posts is View New Posts since last visit. And Read is Mark All Forums read. I had to use too small of a font to get all of that in there and it looked weird so it just says "Read."

I copy past your post above Roy to the official thread Spor created to announce the new buttons saying I concur and have the same question.
Hope we get an answer soon.

I'm just gonna merge this with the announcement to prevent more double posts on the matter.

Re: Navibar
Lol, I was about to post about asking for it to be more noticeable. Rather than flashing you could just do a background color change, such as:
Obviously yours would look quite different from this, but I am sure you get what I mean

Re: Navibar
Does anyone mind if i take a attempt at creating a navigation bar for the forums?
~ If I'm allowed to try i just need to know one thing, what is the colour scheme for the forums - is it purple or something else?

No they are of little use and for most don't see them... On TBRP, mine are more noticeable but are still not used as they do very little

My attempt at a navigation bar
EDIT: All the buttons are separate, I've placed them in a line to show what they should/will look like if implemented.

If you want to use it, or play around with it, here's the Photoshop file.

For the nav bar to work it needs to be split into seperate images. Or you need to code it using a background image (about 25-35x1) which can clone along in a singular bar. The site isn't set up to work with a single image based navbar

all the buttons are separate, I've placed them all in a straight line of show what the navigation bar would/should look like if implemented - which is why i also included a background which matches the one that the current navigation bar is on.
I really should of mentioned that in the first post... My bad.

Lol, would have help
The purple seems to bright though... maybe trying a darker kind? Possibly with more red/pink to darken and dull it... The vibrancy seems to much

Re: Navibar
Thanks for the input, but i don't think I'll implement it now.
I'll sort it out later.

Re: Navibar
There's no need to apologize, i made the navigation bar knowing full well that they might not be used. Besides it gave me something to do in Photoshop, which is nice since i haven't used it in awhile.Sporadic wrote:Sorry. They're not being changed.

Re: Navibar
