There has never been a set-in-stone, official, defined, nor correct meaning to GAR, and no one should make the mistake of thinking that someone else's definition is correct by authority or better than anyone else's. Not even TVTropes has a set meaning or article for it. So you guys should just find your own meanings to GAR instead of following other people's.

I would also like to point out right now, before the argument starts,that there's no point in arguing over which definition of GAR is right or not.

Exactly. My image of GAR involves something with a bit of passion or Fire to it. For example Kenpachi is GAR for obvious reasons. Although I think you need more than just fire or passion to be GAR I don't think you can be called GAR without it. For example Byakuya I would not call GAR. I like him enough as a character but he is the Cool, serious type not what I would call GAR type.

But like you said there is no set definition so if people want to call characters like Byakuya or Auron GAR then I'm fine with that and I can see why they would say that. I just feel you need a bit more Fire to really be GAR.
