Darker than Black: Anime Discussion

I watched the first season...and one episode of the second...that was pretty much it. I liked the first season way better. I don't think they really needed the second.

I've watched both seasons and all 4 OVAs. I liked the first season way better then the secound and the OVAs.

Man I've been marathoning through this shiz this whole weekend, It's epic~! Thanks to Mr.LightDark for influencing my decision to watch it~

I love how super awesomely kind yet mysterious Hei is, and Yin's moe is just so AWESOME~!

I have been curious about starting this anime but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Same here. I've been bugged a few times by a couple of people to watch it. But my "On Hold" list is so big night now I won't even have the time.

Darker Than Black was pretty good. I however found the second season was a little lacking.

it sat on the top of my most favorite anime list for a long time, in fact my pic on my profile is still hei, well was hei back on the old site.

Well it's on Netflix and since JD is down my other shows are getting put on hold. Might as well get started with it after I finish the Film Club's latest movie.

This was the first action anime I watched and it is one of my favourite animes (as my username suggests). I found the 2nd seasons ending a bit confusing but nothing a bit of research couldn't fix. It really needs a 3rd season. Oh and Hei is awesome, just a shame we couldn't see him use his power much in season 2!

I loved the first season of Darker than Black... but the second season just was meh... Still watched all of it but... But the first was definitely better. I really liked the interaction of Hei and Misaki.... and loved Mao in the first season.... Didn't like him as much as a flying squirrel.

This anime had one of the coolest op I had the pleasure to listen too.

From what I've seen of Season 2, it don't look pretty.

I just finished season one and possibly one OVA (The Fanfiction one.)

Well I started this anime. About to watch episode 3 right now. So far I am impressed with the concepts and story direction. The way they introduced the doll was interesting. Needs more Yin however. :p

I didn't like Moe as a squrril in the secound season. The first was better then the secound season by a lot but I would say that if you watch the first season you might as well watch the secound and the OVA's.

If the second season is worse then honestly I'm tempted to drop this. 14 episodes in and I'm not terribly amused. It has its moments but far too often the narrative is just too dull and not much excitement is going on. On top of this, the episodic nature makes it feel like it's not building up to anything, so it just seems like it's going nowhere. I'll give it a little longer I guess.
