iv spent so long away from english music, i dont think ill ever get back into it. iv been listening to anime (japanese) music for the past 10 years, back in middle school i would go to an anime Midi music site and just listen to music there during computer class while i did my work. dont ask me the name, ill never remeber, but that slowly trasformed into the openings and closings became part of the show itself, when i got my first MP3 player, i spent forever downloading songs off limewire. needless to say my collection is huge.

I don't think anyone has really abandoned their home countries' music, I just think that they have come to like the music they hear in Anime's as well, and quite often when you grow to like something it can take priority over similar things in your life... at least for a time.
