Fondest video game memories Empty Fondest video game memories

Pretty simple. What are your fondest video game-related memories?

Most memorable for me were with Pokemon. I spent hours and hours as a kid trading and battling with my mates. Funniest, though, was during those rare times where I'd let my sister play my version of Gold. It was good because I'd get stuck sometimes and then she'd figure something out when she played. For everything helpful she did, though, something bad would always happen.

Earlier in the game, she figured out how to get past that wiggling tree. Yeah, that's cool. It even turned out to be a Pokemon. She fought it, defeated it and saved my game. She didn't learn her lesson though. Later on, she managed to get through Ho-Oh's tower. Guess what happened? She killed it. And then saved. Wiggling tree I could afford killing. You can't possibly put Ho-Oh and a Ditto together in the daycare, crossing your fingers, hoping to get an egg. It was devastating.

I spent a lot of time after that trying to swindle my friends into handing me their Ho-Ohs. I also remember not catching a Snorlax, but I can't remember if that was m fault or my sister's.

So yeah, not the happiest of memories, but I still think back and launch till this day. Tell me some of yours.

With me it was not just one game but game system. The Atari 2600 game system. It was a basic home arcade setup set in the pre-nintendo era back in the late 1970's. My family happened to have the most amount of games for it since My Father and I would spend about an hour or two on Saturdays searching for the next 'It Game'.

In my family and block I was the best at these games. I even hosted plenty of video game parties for every kid in the neighborhood in our house when the folks was not around. Everyone wanted to bring me down but no one could.

I miss those days. Nintendo came out and because they was a much better game system Atari became a thing in the past. I tried to capture the same glory with Nintendo games but they were slightly different games and I could not adapt well enough fast enough. Oh well.

Toy Commander and Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. Stupid, terrible console but those two games I have nothing but nostalgic memories of. Whether it was fishing for Froggy as Big or flying a toy Hawker Hurricane around the conservatory I enjoyed every minute of both those games.

I've some fond memories of my days in World of Warcraft as well but that's mostly down to the people I was playing with and the adventures we went on more than the game itself.

My fondest memories would come from owning an N64 and PS1 with my bro. We spent so much time playing games like Army Men, Flying Dragon, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat 4, various wrestling games, and Smash Bros. We don't live together any more, so I look back on those times fondly. I'll always be a split-screen guy because of those days.

Being inducted into the Rock Band elite was a win for me. Also making history on Socom was just amazing.

I used to be in a video game club in my high school, and every so often, we would get a random FPS and battle each other in a free for all mode. I usually came out as victor and the others would rage and call me a try hard or something LOL. We even had a teacher who sponsered it and acutally played the games with us and even hosted a minecraft server later on. That club was home to some pretty good times

For my it would have to be first computer game... The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall (1996). That game was awesome when it came out! My whole goal was to get my character strong enough to survive a vampire attack, head to the King of Wyrm's Tomb, get bit, join the Dark Brotherhood, and then murder as many people as I could... Ahh... to be 11 years old again.... XD

Fondest video game memories DaggerfallBox

Also loved Phantasmagoria (both the first one and Puzzle of Flesh - the uncensored versions tyvm- 1995 - 1996 ), Lost in Time (1993)... So many games.... so little time to play them all!

I have way too many memories. Playing Super Metroid for hours on end just exploring the depths of Zebes, hanging with my clan in Jedi Knight II and playing all these strange custom maps created by the community, LAN parties, messing with all sorts of strange scenarios in Perfect Dark's combat simulator, becoming Adult Link in Ocarina of Time, memorizing every cheesy line from Star Fox 64, and all sorts of stuff.

Ah Lunar Silver Story. It was ported several times but feels fresh each time. This game does cliches right and makes the characters so memorable. It's the simplicity that makes the story so great.

I hope you checked out it's sequel Eternal Blue and a vary similar game Grandia.

Pokemon for me also, particularly Gold. I had a "farm" of Mewtwos', I'd make copies and trade them with school friends for things IRL.

I've had a lot of fun playing console and handheld games, but really the best and most nostalgic games I've played are MMOs. UMS games on Brood War, high rate servers on Ragnarok Online, and (even though I'd hate to admit it) tons of time on Maple Story made me meet a lot of memorable people.

I remember playing video games with my dad as well back in the old NES days. That was actually pretty fun but he doesn't play anymore with all the new high tech games. Too many buttons and stuff for him.
