TV Tropes

I'm sure most of you have heard of TV Tropes but if you have not it's a sort of wiki for all sorts of tricks and tips that authors may use consciously or unconsciously in any sort of media. If you ever wondered wanted to know all the parts that make up a piece of your favorite anime then this site takes you through all the gritty details of what goes on in the plot.

Did the hero pull a Batman Gambit to apprehend the villain? Did the evil robot launch a massive Macross Missile Massacre on an unsuspecting Innocent Bystander?

There are plenty to find and lose yourself in but one SERIOUS word of caution. Spoilers are easy to stumble into and while the site does it's best you should still be weary.

Already intrigued, but finding Ass Pull and Ass Shove made my day.

For so much information on that site, I wonder what tropes they have missed.

This quote I find hilarious, it's an example of Mugging the Monster starring Vash the Stampede: "are you stupid? You're trying to lynch the guy because he blew up two cities and a chunk of the moon. What do you think is protecting you?"

Love TV Tropes. One of the best things about finishing an anime (or any show) is that I get to check it's Tropes page after. Tropes is a lot fun.
