I never went past the Rukia Rescue arc. That arc was the best.

So far, my opinion on Bleach is very frustrating. I like the animation, the characters, and the choice in intro music (so far the ending themes have not impressed me)...in most cases. However, what I do not like, is the plot development. I mean a season and a half of filler...seriously...that was not necessary. And I do agree that the Rukia arc was pretty terrible. I'm sure she's quite capable of saving herself, I don't think she need Ichigo to do it....but in all honesty, the series really would benefit greatly from better writers, since the garbage thusfar has been very disappointing...and that's not just for the series, this includes the movies too. I do not mean to offend anyone whom loves this anime. But right now, the only thing keeping me continuing to watch it, is the fact that I can say I've watched it. Mind you, the first season of Bleach was pretty good...I remember when it aired here in Canada...however, I also remember it falling off the station's line up in the middle of season two...you'd think that would say something to those whom are producing the show. And I really would like to know why they thought a season and a half of filler would be a good idea. I mean, litterally in the middle of a fight it was like "Let's talk about something completely unrelated to anything"

For me the decline of Bleach started with the Invasion of Hueco Mundo. It started out fine with some good fights but it just dragged on and on. Or
Orihime did absolutely nothing of value. And Chad gets to act badass for all of like 5 minutes before getting instantly owned but number 5. Uryu was pretty useless to I mean he and renji double teamed an espada and they still needed mad scientist guy to save their asses.

But probably the abolute last straw for me was the recent reveal that
Spoiler:

One of Tites biggest problems is that he doesn't know how to handle character development. He gives everything to Ichigo and neglects everyone else. Sure he gives them power ups but they never really do anything of value with them. They just show off for a little to remind us that they exist and fade back into the background. Think about it during the full bring arc they brag "We powered up!" Then the only thing they do for the rest of the arc is get brainwashed by that guy to fight Ichigo and are quickly forgotten. They aren't even in the last arc as far as I can remember!

I watched the entire show, dubbed-subbed, and honestly i was bored directly after the Rukia Arc as well. All the fillers just pissed me off. They were useless and not very interesting.

I noticed that as well. I mean all of Ichigo's 'friends' used to be these power houses...now they are kinda lame when standing on their own after the Rukia arch...especially Rukia

It's sad that he can't do somethings well. His character concepts and art style are amazing. Now if he could do background and plot development, we'd be solid.
The music is quite good in the anime and the anime is probably the best form to watch in Bleach. Yes the filler is long, but other than the Bounts, I think it was mostly alright.

Only fillers I enjoyed were the zanpakuto arc and the one where they were at the beach. The way to watch Bleach is with an episode guide that takes out all the fillers. IMO Bleach was great even after Rukia's rescue, but it should have ended with Aizen, but I can't complain really, I love Bleach, and as long as Kubo keeps making more I'll enjoy all of it, and honestly that's what I'm doing right now. Other than Ichigo being part Quincy(which honestly, we all should have seen it coming a long time ago), I have nothing to complain about with the current manga. It's nice to see everything fall into place and all those things that remained unexplained are being unfolded little by little, that really brings me satisfaction.

So now, let's try to keep this thread positive, if you come to criticize this is the wrong place, here we discuss.

Really....the zanpakuto arch was the one that angered me the most...mostly because of where it was placed. I mean really...whomever comes up with the fillers, and where they place them, need to be fired.

Sure it could have been better. But without him we wouldnt even have Bleach as hes the creator. I had Bleach on hold for a loooong ass time near the end of the first filler arc (bounts) but when i realised that was a filler i skipped it and all the other fillers too and i have nothing to complain about in the real story. It was so enjoyable, evrything of it. Good fights, good plots with the whole aizen and arrancar thing, the only thing it misses is character development and emotions like One Piece, Naruto and Fairy Tail have. But im not someone who thinks of how things could have been, i rather enjoy things as they are Smile

ANYWAYS.. BLEACH ANIME IS COMING BACK IN MARCH!!!! I CANT WAIT!

I like bleach. I however skiped a few episodes but I've watched most of it and like it. I have a feeling that there might be a reason to some of the fillers.
