I want to get bioshock and god of war too, but i'm still recovering from a huge gaming spending spree from last year and cause i'm getting the special editions for 2 of my games

Bioshock i had high hopes for, but, after reading about its developement history, high-up people leaving, among other things, i cant be to sure. i wish the best though

Well i'm sorry to disappoint you but tomb raider isn't getting a demo, and rainbow six patriots seems to have been pushed to next gen consoles

yeah, they said a demo would ruin the story. Guess i'll have to wait for reviews. As for Rainbow 6, it is confirmed on currrent gen consoles and pc.

I have around 300 hours in Demons Souls and over 700 in Dark Souls. If you stick with it you'll beat 'em eventually. It helps to have a good build.I haven't even finished Demon Souls or Dark Souls yet...

I couldn't be any less excited for that game, and the Souls series is probably my favourite RPG series. Everything I've heard about the game "being more direct" with it's narrative is extremely disappointing. Dark Souls in particular had an amazing back-story behind it, and what made it special was that it required you to piece together the story. The discovery of the story behind Ceaseless Discharge is tragic, and what makes it all the more powerful is that it's not told to you via a cutscene. It only until later down the line when you learn that you've just murdered someone who was watching over the corpse of his sister, despite him being in constant agony due to the never-ending lava pouring out of him. It's not just the narrative either. Apparently they want to make it easier for the player to know where he/she is supposed to go, which will ruin the atmosphere of the game. In Dark Souls (assuming you never cheated with a guide) you could spend hours just wandering around the landscape discovering numerous different areas that all had a back-story to them. The fact that the director of Dark Souls and Demon's Souls is off the team, just upsets me. We could of had such an interesting new Souls game, but now I fear they're simply using the Dark Souls' name to boost the sales.-Wolf- wrote:DARK SOULS 2!!!
Anyway, as for the games I am excited for this year..
I originally couldn't wait to play Dead Space 3, but all this BS with the micro-transactions and crappy PC ports has totally put me off. I'll still probably buy it, but the hype is gone for me. I'm also cautiously awaiting the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines. I had a bad feeling the game is going to be rubbish, but I'm holding out for hope. Then of course Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us are obvious choices.
