Brightening: I agree. The body part is darker than what looks natural.

Blue filter: I disagree. That would make the signature much too monotone. The contrast is nice, especially with the light and dark and black and white in the background. The blue things in the signature catch focus from their uniqueness.

Frosted edges: I disagree. Again, the blue is focused in the center and has black and white on the outsides from the background. Putting blue edges would be like having a blue border, and that would destroy how all of the aspects of the signature lean the focus towards the center.

by any chance did you desaturate that sig? its missing some...uhmm... vibrance? it kinda oppose the renders expression of being "come at me bro" while the tone is kinda.. err.. sleepy

It's a bit hard to tell by looking at it, but the background is inside a cave, so the only color that's emitted is from the sword/spear and the small particles around the render. I somewhat unsaturated the background to put more focus on the render.
