Thoughts?

Looks good. Only the top two corners are rounded though. Bottom left is straight and bottom right looks too angular... This is assuming that all are suppose to be rounded

But on further analysis the blue works well and I like the illumination from the white as it keeps the scheme well. The text color also makes a nice contrast while remaining blue. The blur on the render seems slightly too much, but that might just be my tastes.

Updated the OP with the rounded bottom left edge. Not really sure how that slipped through lol. The MAL sig site cut that bottom right edge on me a little bit too. Probably gonna fix that tomorrow.

you overdid the blurring thing lol. his pants are blurred while his body is not even though they're at the same level of depth. Its kinda weird.

You did one thing really good that I can never manage to do it good - text.

I really like it. I have to say the text looks smooth and blends nicely, but I agree about the blur. It's too strong (or appears so) on the pants because of the contrast. I would lower the blur level and gradually increase towards the bottom and edges of the legs.

Text used to be a big downfall of my work too. I just read a few tutorials on it and it became a lot easier.

I dialed back the blur on the lower region of the render. I still personally like the effect so I did leave some in.

Edit. nvm I changed it back. I've already become attached to it.

The focal is blurred out a lot. Other than the blur, I like the concept of it, kiu!

It's one of those odd effects you wouldn't normally become attached to. But I like it for some reason. I sharpened it up but it didn't feel right to me anymore.
