Staff Directories
Hey folks.
I do recall that on the old forums the staff titles at the bottom of the forums redirected to a directory of staff. If you clicked on "Moderators" it took you to a full list of the Mods who currently held the title, if you clicked "JustReviews Admin" it Shogun and I (and later just Shogun by himself ), etc...
Here however it redirects you to a message saying you don't have access to the page. Something's obviously different here, I'm just curious as to what.

That difference is in permissions to access the page. Just stating the obviously different for your obvious difference in your question ^.^

I figured as much, but if the redirect to the same pages as the old forums why block them? It just makes contacting specific staff a hassle for non-staff.
How am I to easily spam Shogun's wall while he's offline?
EDIT: Invite requests? Of what sort, I'm not sure what is meant by that.

You can request an invitation to join the groups on this forum. Inside of the group overview there's a button to request joining.

It's not really blocking you from viewing the staff, it's preventing people from joining a closed group. phpBB is different for how it lists staff. It's a little backwards when it comes to useful features like this, especially when it's further diluted by Forumotion.
For now, you can use this link: http://justdubsrefuge.omgforum.net/memberlist?mode=groups&order=DESC&submit=Ok&username
However, the Memberlist search when categorized by Usergroup is broken and does not list all staff members (Sporadic and Severus are missing from the categorized list), however they do show up in the Username category. Depending what the reason for contacting a staff member is, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. If a need to contact an admin is needed, you can click on the blue names.
I just hope we don't continue using phpBB when the site launches. There are plenty of forum software out there that is far better than phpBB and while remaining easy to use.
Only the administrators can create the groups so far. If there is a modification/add-on that allows users to create "clubs/guilds/clans/groups" it would need to be added by an admin first to allow regular members to create their groups.Blazer wrote:I wanna make a yandere group. Obviously The Man is trying to hide something. Considering the contents of a staff list, we have secret moderators whose identities must not be compromised for their safety.
