Toughest Boss Fight

What boss fights were the toughest in video games?

Talos in Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles was one of the toughest boss fights I've fought in a video game.

Rogue Galaxy. Final boss had 10 stages in a row.

First 2 were full party fights, after that it was each secondary character (7) by themselves, and the final was the main character maxed out with no abilities, an alternate sword, and a boss that could kill you in 2-3 attacks. Better bring some potions!

Xenosaga II's final boss is a close second. If you didn't have a certain ability equipped you probably couldn't win, and the boss heals you and himself so you cant lose either. But if you have the ability, it's a cakewalk.

The final boss in Chrono Trigger gave me problems. Yes I know I suck, he's not that hard but I refused to changed my party and was stubborn.

Final Fantasy IX, optional "secret final boss" Ozma.

Incredibly difficult to beat, even with maxed out characters. Ultima weapons are pretty much necessary, if I remember correctly.

I take that back, I think the Emerald Weapon in Final Fantasy VII was harder. Possibly because of the time limit.

I think I used a fool proof guide to beat him. Pretty much cheating I know but I can imagine the time limit makes it almost impossible otherwise.

Final Fantasy X had that boss with the ripoff death spell. Bosses with death spells is blatant A.I cheating .

disgaea secret superbosses are too overpowered to even beat, you need hours and hours of dedicated grinding to even stand a chance, even after that you still pretty much get owned.

I never got to actually beat it. You had to fight ALL of the previous bosses in one go just to get to fight the final one, and he does some incredibly annoying moves, like fast forwarding the game speed. And if you die, then you have to fight all the previous bosses ALL OVER AGAIN.

Oh man, I haven't seen or heard that game in years.

hmm...sepheroth on KH2, and....the demon book in tales of symphonia, first playthrough,

the sixth spade in mercenaries. He had like 15 guards surrounding him, and tho only person that took me longer to beat was the Ace.

If you do the sidequests, the experience and equipment make the main game really easy. But apparently there's a harder boss for the second playthrough, though I'm too lazy to do that.

The demon book wasn't hard per se, but it was very... tiresome and frustrating. I remember getting lost and spending like 7 hours roaming around without a save or heal. I can't remember if I managed to complete it in the end.

I haven't played many RPGs, but I'd probably say the most difficult boss for me was Cell in the Dragonball Z Trading Card Game (GBA) that no one played. That bastard cheated, and you basically had to make it 100% impossible for him to beat you since he could get any sort of card he wanted if he had cards in his hand.

When I was little beating the third and final form of Bowser in Super Mario 64 was hard as nails. I think I broke the analog stick because of those fights.

I think the hardest boss fight I've played was the final boss in prinny can I really be the hero.

I memorize the order of his moves and still died because i couldn't mash square fast enough.

The Answerer and the Occupation of Arteria Carpals from Armored Core For Answer on hard mode.
The Arteria Carpals mission isn't one boss but 5... 5 enemy NEXTs who ambush you all equipped with extremely high powered weaponry including the Arena top 1 and 2 pilots (these guys are able to kick your ass up and down the place one on one let alone together) and your own handler... this boss fight cause me to rage quit so many times.

Just remembered the test of strength in the Lightfoot Village from Starfox Adventures. You had to be a button mashing god, or grab a turbo controller. I think i did it once, then i couldn't feel my finger for a good while.

As a little kid playing Kirby's Adventure on the NES was actually kind of hard sometimes with the bosses.
The Meta Knight one on one fight and the boss before the final boss (the sphere that shoots stars at you and you have limited amount of time to win), were very difficult to me as a small child.

Of course their easy now

when i was a kid minesweeper intermediate mode was impossible for me....

Yoso I didn't know you played Disgaea. But yeah you can beat anything in the game if you grind enough but damn. It takes a LOT of grinding to beat the final extras of the game.

I think what made him so hard was that damn sin harvest attack. Strips you down to 1 HP and MP instantly, you have no way to dodge it, and if you don't heal yourself quickly then you're done. I remember the first time I fought him. I just saw the ???????? and thought "Heh I'll beat whatever this is and go one" Start the round "Nooo... no no no.. *already dead* I'm going to come back to this later... like maybe post game"

This is the only reason I never beat Metroid Prime 2

Most people never finished it because of finding all those darn keys. Its been a while, but I don't remember Dark Samus being too terribly difficult...
