I started reading the comic last night. On issue 6 already. I like that the "Don't open, dead inside" door was opened in the comic.

I never knew the tv series barely follow the comics.. The only thing thats similiar is the main places they went like Atlanta, the camp and Hershell's farm (so far where i am). Even some of the characters are not similiar and some show up sooner or later than they are suppose to.

- Shane was suppose to die in the camp in Atlanta already and not at Hershell's farm... Way to boost up the drama in the tv series by keeping him around.

- Yeah, Carl capped his ass in the 6th issue. And Tyreese was introduced in the 7th. He was always supposed to be a way more relevant character. There's thing in the series I agree with them doing and then there's things I don't agree with. But overall its been a nice read.

- Yeah its really good. They also show alot more gross stuff in the comics
And theres no Daryl and no Merle in the comics (which is too bad, although i still have hope they might show up later in a way different scenario than in the series). Tyreese pretty much takes Daryl's role. Rick's right hand. I also like how Dale survived the Hershell arc. 1 reason for me to be mad at the tv series as i really liked Dale. And his relationship with Andrea is..... different

- Are you at the prison yet? Some events happen quite differently let me know when you're near that point so I won't spoil anything. Tyrese is a really good character. They split his role three ways in the series. Between Shane as Rick's best friend, Daryl as his righthand man and T-Dog as the main black protagonist. And yeah, some parts are pretty graphic in the comic books. I love how violent the deaths are.
So glad I have someone to discuss the comic books with now

Damn I kinda already knew about that but some I didn't lol. Put which chapter it is you're talking about lol. I'm about to read issue 16 right now. I didn't want to finish everything so quick. I'm already contemplating continuing to read after i catch up with to where the show is. So many things are happening differently I don't think much would end up getting spoiled.

It's getting good. And the series hardly follows the show at all. I mean, the setting is right but a lot of the events aren't the same at all.

Yes it was really different. That helicopter was spotted a few times in the series but only for a second in the comics. The Governor looks a lot different in the comics too. I didn't like that, he looks more fitting on the series. You're gonna be in for a treat with these next few issues. They're so damn good. I'm currently on issue #33 and man, it's hard to put these down lol

- Really bad ass. 95% of issue 33 was dedicated to Michonne torturing The Governor. She did so much more to him than in the series. In the series she only poked his eye out with her sword. In the comics she nails his dick to a 2x4, pulls every one of his finger nails off with a pair of pilers, cuts his arm off, drills some screws into him, bites part of his neck out, sticks a spoon up his ass, then uses the same spoon to gouge his eye out. Then right at the end when people knock on The Governor's door she cuts his dick off. I can't wait to see how pissed off he is once he surives.
And then at the end of issue 35 you get to see a Christmas scene with Morgan and his son Duane. So far the son is still alive.

You like how the comics are written a little differently now? They're showing like letters from readers in the back now. And we actually get words from the writers.
